This bubbly and colorful berry sangria is so easy to make you’ll find yourself making it all summer long! Perfect for entertaining or for just a casual weekend sipper.
Okay, so this is most definitely not the margs I promised you yesterday. BUT, I really do think you’re gonna want to stick around anyway.
It’s almost almost the holiday weekend y’all! The unofficial beginning of summer and I donno about you but I think that calls for a DRINK.
A drink of the summer-iest kind, no less. Saaaaaaangria!
Can we have a moment of silence for the single prettiest and most colorful sangria summer has ever seen? I mean, summer hasn’t even technically started yet but I think we already have a winner. Holy to the MOLY. 😍😍
So I wanna know. What are your plans for the Memorial Day weekend? Or to be more specific, what are your FOOD plans? Are you manning (or womanning) the grill? Being a rebel and not grilling at all? (you break my heart)
Since I never pass up a chance to pull out ALL the cookout stops, of course I’m grilling my little heart out. This will probably include my signature hamburgers, a few hot dogs for the kiddos, and hopefully a glorious mess of THESE veggies.
Shall we discuss the drinking portion of your weekend? You knew I was going there. It’s obviously got to include this sangria because I command it so you must do it.
I’m only looking out for your best boozy interests. This sangria is the literal EPITOME of summer, guys! We have a whole beautiful mess of fresh mixed berries plus sliced kiwi because oh gosh, it makes this drink SO pretty.
And pretty drinks = multiple glasses because where I come from we like to sip in style.
New to the whole sangria game? Don’t sweat it, because I don’t even exaggerate a little bit: sangria is just about the most foolproof drink you will ever make. For starters, it’s SO adaptable. Not a fan of any of the fruits in this recipe? It’s so easy just to swap out for your favorites.
Secondly, I kid you not: all the fruit simply gets dumped in your pitcher. Fruit juice and champagne gets dumped on top. Stir, stir, slurp, sluuuuurp.
Heaven help us all…♥
One thing though that’s kinda important to remember. The champagne will go flat and lose it’s bubble if you let this sangria sit in the fridge too long. The way I get around this is to combine everything except the champagne ahead of time.
I make sure the champagne is nicely chilled and then when it’s time to break out the sangria glasses…pop that bottle of champagne and pour your fizzy booze gold on top. See above. ↑↑
Or in the interest of saving time…you could just take the whole pitcher and RUN!
