“A fun and different way to serve waffles and pancakes. This easy syrup that has just the right amount of spice would also be great drizzled over cakes or cupcakes. After this syrup is refrigerated it will turn somwhat solid–To get it back to liquid form, heat it slowly until it is reduced back to liquid.~Sarah
• 1-3/4 cups apple cider
• 2 tablespoons honey
• 2 tablespoons cornstarch
• 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
• 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
1. In a small saucepan, whisk together all ingredients until smooth. Cook over medium heat until bubbly and slightly thickened. Serve.
Yield: About 1-1/2 cups
Store in refrigerator up to 3 days.
