You’ll never go back to the storebought hot fudge sauce after one taste of this super-smooth and chocolate-y ice cream sauce! You may just want to grab a spoon.
Let’s be honest here: How many of us buy hot fudge sauce for the sole purpose of eating it by the spoonful?
Of course, while we’re buying it, in the back of our minds we’re thinking, Oh, I’ll just have a little bit on top of my ice cream for dessert tonight and that’ll be it.
10 minutes later: I need more fudge sauce.
10 minutes later: Just a little bit more on top and I’m good.
10 seconds later: Forget this lameness—gimme the whole jar!
And that, my friends is how to spend a productive Sunday evening after you had to work all day. On a WEEKEND in case you missed the point. Yes, I would say fudge sauce from the jar was perfectly appropriate last night. 😉
Quick little sidenote here: I just wanted to take a second to share an exciting piece of news with you guys! I think I may have failed to mention that my older sister, Lora was pregnant. Well, this past Saturday morning I woke up to discover that I was an aunt again! Kaylee River, otherwise known as the “miracle baby” arrived safely and even though she’s tiny, she’s very healthy as well.
I was in the kitchen making french toast and coffee when my mom was like: “Sarah! She’s here!”
Me: “Who’s here?”
Mom: “The baby! She’s here!”
Me: “The baby? What baby?”
Me: “OH, the baby….she’s here?!”
Now, keep in mind that I hadn’t had my coffee yet so don’t laugh at my confused brain.
Anywhoo, we’re calling Kaylee the “miracle baby” because there were so many complications during my sister’s entire pregnancy we weren’t even sure the baby was gonna pull through, but she did and we are all so thankful and relieved that she and mom are both doing well.
And now I’ve got another little person to cuddle. YAY. 😀
Okay, so fudge sauce. You NEED a little/a LOT in your life especially it being a Monday and all. It’s kind of a rule of nature that Monday is a stuff-your-face-with-ice-cream kinda day. Unless you’re a food blogger who’s frustrated and then that’s just a regular day in the kitchen.
In other news, recipe fails are the worst and they don’t make Mondays any easier on me. (FYI: I’m working on a KILLER new recipe that I’m determined to get right, but it’s not really being cooperative)
Good thing we have homemade, SUPER-simple fudge sauce to help us through these annoyances. 😉
So peeps, the title of this post doesn’t lie. This awesome fudge sauce IS better than store-bought stuff. Like a billion times better.
Yes, that ginormous number is totally legit. This sauce is liquid gold.
GOLD, you guys. And gold, I’m sure is to-die-for delicious.
Not that I’ve tasted gold before, but people seem to love gold, so hey it must be tasty, right?
K. Getting back to the topic of fudge sauce that we somehow strayed from….You guys. Have you EVER tried homemade fudge sauce? If the answer to this question is no, then I’m begging that you get off the couch NOW and go round up the ingredients to make this sauce.
Seriously, it takes 10 minutes to whip up on the stove and before you know it, you have a jarful of warm, chocolate-y fudge sauce; ready to tackle that bowl of naked vanilla ice cream.
Unbelievably smooth and fudgy. Spot on chocolate-y. Oh-so warm and swoon-worthy, this sauce will change your whole perspective on your usual boring-bowl-of-vanilla-ice-cream night.
Just look at all that fudgy chocolate goodness….Dontcha’ just want a spoon?
So good you may just wanna skip the ice cream all together and just eat this sauce by the spoonful.
Don’t mind if I do. 😉
