This is one summer kabob recipe that you’re gonna want to hold onto forever! The sweet ‘n’ spicy jerk chicken combined with sausage and sweet pineapple are a match made in heaven.
There’s a new kabob in town and my gosh friends, am I ever excited to introduce you to him today. (she?)
So. Dang. PSYCHED! Squeal!!
Alright, so grilling season. It is ON, guys! And I am officially obsessed with it all. I’m talking burgers, hot dogs, grilled veggies, the WORKS. All I want for dinner is grilled stuff. Every night of the week.
And I don’t even want to know what my neighbors must think of me, but I’d hazard to guess that it’s along the lines of: that girl is craaaaaaaaay. That wouldn’t be toooooooo far-fetched actually….
Case-in-point. ↓
As of the past few days, I’ve completely decided that all I need in my life are jerk chicken pineapple sausage kabobs. Seriously that’s all I need to be happy. Let me explain why.
There’s sweet ‘n’ spicy jerk-rubbed chicken. There’s tangy fresh pineapple. There’s SAUSAGE which pretty much seals the whole dynamite-kabob deal.
There’s just so much awesomeness I’m still trying to wrap my brain around it all. It’s really no problem at all wrapping my mouth around one of these kabobs though. 😉
First off, let’s dish about the chicken.
I make my own homemade jerk seasoning to heavily coat this chicken, just because I’m weird like that and prefer everything made-from-scratch. (I obviously have control issues…eesh) But ohhhhh, mercy it is so freakin’ amazing on this chicken! It’s a little bit sweet, a little bit spicy and 100% KICKIN’!
And obviously it pairs perfectly with some nice cubes of spicy sausage aaaaaaaand….(wait for it…)
Grilled pineapple. I’ll just let those words sink in. GUYS, I feel as though up until these kabobs my life has been incomplete because I have NEVER grilled pineapple in my life.
I knoooooow. Crazy Sarah is behind on the times AGAIN. Surpiiiiiiise.
Seriously though, I don’t even care because grilled pineapple is my new jam. And I’ve totally been buying up the fresh pineapples like they’re goin’ outta style and slapping them ALL on the grill.
Don’t judge.
I mean, as if fresh pineapple couldn’t get any better straight from the fruit bowl! A quick 10-minute roast on the grill and the sweet ‘n’ tangy flavors just EXPLODE in ‘yo mouth. And those lovely char-marks? I swoon.
Let’s get real here: EVERYTHING tastes better on a stick. Plus, uhhh the ease! You just can’t beat it. These kabobs are on the table in twenty, guys. TWENTY.
They bring the P to any PAR-TAY without a doubt. These kabobs are definitely one to add to the next summer cook-out menu! People will instantly be drawn to them just because they’re so dang PURTY! And uh, again the fact that they’re served on a stick. Total game-changer.
My family has told me that these are now the only kabobs that I am allowed to make. So I guess you could say that I’ve found a total keeeeeeeeper. Boo-ya!
Ring that dinner bell and tell those tastebuds to watch out because the grilled summer flavors are HE-RE and lookin’ more gorgeous than ever. 😉
