In a small bowl, combine tomatoes, garlic, sugar, and basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Rub salmon fillets with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Grill over medium-high heat 4-6 minutes until salmon can be lifted off. Flip to opposite side and cook an additional 2-4 minutes until salmon registers 125F.

Rub French bread with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Grill over medium-high heat several minutes until toasted.
