Meatball Marinara Subs

These subs are...

- Stuffed with juicy beef meatballs and lots of flavorful marinara sauce. - Covered in melty mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. - Ready in under an hour with basic pantry ingredients.

Ingredients

- Ground beef - Breadcrumbs - Garlic - Egg - Butter

- Parmesan cheese - Mozzarella cheese - Marinara sauce - Basil - Sub buns

Form the meatballs

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, garlic, salt, pepper, and egg. Mix well until just combined and form into 1-inch meatballs.

Top with sauce

Place meatballs on a greased sheet pan and evenly top with marinara sauce.

Bake meatballs

Bake meatballs at 400F 25-30 minutes until meatballs register 165F.

Prep the buns

Cut sub buns 3/4 of the way open and arrange in a 9x13 pan. Brush insides of buns with melted butter and top with garlic powder. Broil buns under high several minutes until lightly toasted.

Assemble subs

Spoon 3 meatballs into each sub and top with marinara sauce. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan over top.

Broil meatball subs

Broil subs under high several minutes until cheese is melted and lightly browned. Top subs with minced fresh basil and serve warm. Enjoy!
