- Layers of hearty meat sauce and three kinds of rich cheeses - Tender no-boil lasagna noodles - Made entirely in one skillet with make-ahead options
- Olive oil - Italian sausage - Shallot - Garlic - Tomato paste - Dried herbs - Marinara sauce
- Ricotta cheese - Egg - Lasagna noodles - Mozzarella cheese - Parmesan cheese - Fresh basil
Heat oil in a 9-inch oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage and shallot and cook until browned, breaking up sausage with a spoon.
Add garlic and tomato paste to pan and cook 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in marinara sauce and transfer meat sauce to a bowl.
In a small bowl, combine ricotta, egg, dried oregano, and basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Wipe skillet clean and grease. Pour 1/3 meat sauce in the bottom of pan and top with 1/3 lasagna noodle pieces.
Top lasagna noodles with 1/3 ricotta mixture, mozzarella, and Parmesan and repeat layers two more times, ending with cheeses.
Cover pan with tin foil and bake at 375F 20 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking lasagna 30-35 minutes until cheese is browned and pasta is tender. Top lasagna with fresh basil and enjoy!
