Sweet ‘n’ Spicy Jalapeno Poppers

These bite-sized appetizers may be small, but they pack an addicting amount of zippy flavor! Make these poppers for your next party and watch the entire tray disappear.

Servings 1 dozen jalapeno poppers


  • 6 medium jalapeno peppers
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 tablespoons grated cheddar cheese
  • 6 strips uncooked bacon
  • 2 tablespoons coconut sugar or brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder


  • Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly grease a 9x13 baking pan. Set aside.
  • Cut jalapeno peppers in half and core each half. Set aside. In a small bowl, beat cheeses until creamy. Spoon filling evenly into jalapeno halves.
  • Cut bacon strips in hlaf width-wise. Wrap filled jalapenos in bacon and place in a single layer prepared baking sheet. In a small bowl, combine sugar and chili powder. Sprinkle over jalapeno peppers.
  • Bake jalapeno poppers at 350F 18-20 minutes, or until bacon is firm and peppers are soft. Cool slightly before serving warm.


Store jalapeno poppers in refrigerator up to 5 days. Re-heat before serving.
