Gather ingredients and preheat oven to 350F.
Mash banana in a large bowl.
Mix in pumpkin, eggs, brown sugar, oil, and vanilla.
Mix in flour, baking soda, spices, and salt.
Add chocolate chips. (dark, semisweet, etc.)
Fold batter until smooth and just combined.
Spread batter into a 9x5 loaf pan and top with extra chocolate chips.
Bake bread at 350F 55-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
