Big-Batch Stovetop Applesauce (and a video!)
Lightly spiced and loaded with cozy fall apple flavors, this easy big batch-style stovetop applesauce cooks in minutes on the stove and is the perfect way to use up all those fall apples!

Ingredients
- 5 lbs apples peeled, cored, and sliced (10-12 medium apples)
- 1-1/2 cups apple cider
- 1/3 cup coconut sugar or brown sugar
- Juice from 1/2 lemon
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring often until apples are very tender and beginning to break down, about 15 minutes.
- Transfer apples and any liquid still in the pan into a high-speed blender. Puree on high speed several seconds or until applesauce is completely smooth. Enjoy applesauce warm or refrigerate until cold.
Notes
Store applesauce in refrigerator up to 1 week. Applesauce also freezes well up to 3 months.
