- Egg yolks - 2% or skim milk - Heavy cream - Brown sugar - Nutmeg - Vanilla extract
In a medium bowl, whisk egg yolks together until smooth.
In a medium saucepan, heat milk, cream, and brown sugar until steaming (do not boil).
Slowly drizzle 1/2 cup hot milk mixture into egg yolks. Add egg yolk mixture to saucepan and return to heat, cooking until steaming and slightly thickened.
Remove eggnog from heat and whisk in nutmeg and vanilla extract. Chill eggnog completely before serving. Enjoy!
