Homemade Pie Crust

This pie crust features...

- All-purpose flour - Granulated sugar - Kosher salt - Unsalted butter - Ice water

Ingredients

Shred butter on a box grater and freeze until frozen. Combine flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl and work frozen butter into flour until pea-sized clumps form.

Drizzle 4 tablespoons ice water over flour mixture and gently toss until dough comes together in a shaggy mass, adding extra ice water if needed.

Turn dough onto a surface and gently knead and fold until dough comes together. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate 30 minutes or up to 6 days.

Turn chilled dough out onto a floured surface. Roll out into 12-inch circle and transfer to a 9-inch pie pan.

Leave a few inches of overhang in pan, fold edges underneath until smooth, and crimp edges. Refrigerate pie crust 30 minutes before adding any fillings and baking.
