This 7-layer taco dip features layers upon layers of refried beans, a rich cream cheese filling, and lots of shredded lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, and peppers on top.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can (15 oz) refried beans
  • 1 cup mild or spicy salsa
  • 1 medium sweet pepper, cut into 1/4-inch cubes
  • 2 medium tomatoes, cut into 1/4-inch cubes
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican-blend cheese
  • Green onions for garnish, optional
  • Chips for serving

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, stir softened cream cheese until smooth. Mix in sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, and cumin until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Spread refried beans in an even layer in a square or round 9-inch pan. Top with a layer of cream cheese, salsa, sweet pepper, tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and cheese.
  • Garnish dip with green onions if desired and serve immediately with chips. Enjoy!

Storing Instructions
Dip is best if served immediately after assembly.
