Ingredients

Special Sauce

Hamburgers

  • 1 lb ground chuck beef
  • 2 medium cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 tablespoon barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Toasted buns, lettuce, sliced cheese, tomato, avocado, caramelized onions, and bacon for serving

Instructions

Special Sauce

  • In a small bowl, whisk all sauce ingredients until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste and store in refrigerator until ready to use.

Hamburgers

  • In a large bowl, combine all burger ingredients, gently kneading until just combined. Divide meat into 4 portions and shape into patties.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill to medium-high heat OR prepare a large nonstick pan to use indoors on stovetop by greasing well. Grill burgers over medium-high heat flipping once until burgers reach your desired level of doneness (see blog post for more info on this)
  • Assemble burgers in toasted buns with lettuce, cheese, tomato, avocado, caramelized onions and bacon. Drizzle special sauce over top and serve burgers immediately. Enjoy!

Notes

Storing Instructions
Hamburgers are best if enjoyed immediately after assembly
