Biscotti-lovers won’t be able to resist this rich chocolate-y biscotti that’s drizzled with a luscious peanut butter glaze.— The perfect side-kick to that cup of coffee!
Hey, hi, hello! This is me posting on a Saturday. Craaaaay right? Actually I’m writing this on Thursday, since right now I’m getting ready for a day of performances. But I already talked your ear off about that yesterday, so let’s just get straight into our business.
Our biscotti business. Well, hey there you beautiful peanut butter-covered chocolate biscotti, you. ♥
So guys I have a question about biscotti: is it breakfast? Is it dessert? Is it BOTH?! I’m confused and also geez louise, the things I ponder about….
Enlighten me though: Is biscotti meant to be eaten at breakfast with your coffee? At snacktime with a glass of milk? My family has always treated biscotti as any other cookie which obviously puts it in the NOT-allowed-to-be-eaten-for-breakfast category. Dang.
I’m currently gathering evidence that biscotti IS in fact a breakfast delicacy. So PLEASE tell me it’s true so that I can present this evidence to my skeptical, cookie dreams-crusher family.
So this biscotti. I’m kinda pulling out ALL the decadent stops today, in case you didn’t notice. Chocolate, peanut butter cream cheese glaze, you know the drill.—ALL the calorie-loaded fun weekend stuff.
I regret nothing.
So the ideal texture for biscotti. Let us discuss that super-quick here: It’s gotta be nice and crispy on the outside, while still being moist and tender on the inside. Who here has nearly shattered a tooth on boulder rock-hard biscotti? Uh, thanks but no thanks—I have plenty of rocks outside if I ever got that hungry.
This = perfect-o texture. All that was mentioned above MINUS the tooth-shattering part, of course.
No biscotti is complete without ‘zee glaze and par the usual, I’ve gotcha covered. Literally I’ve got you covered all over the place with a little thing that fell out of heaven that I like to call Peanut Butter Cream Cheese Glaze.
My oh my, friends. It’s a good thing we don’t believe in diets around here.
Moist, tender, chocolate-y biscotti, meet Ms. PB Glaze. You guys are gonna love each other I just know it. 😉
This biscotti is that cup of coffee’s best friend for reals, guys. Normally I’m more of a milk ‘n’ cookies kind of gal, but with biscotti? You’ve just gotta have that cup of caffeine to go with it.
Chocolate + peanut butter glaze + a cup of JO = A very happy weekend indeed-y. No matter what time of the day you feast upon it. 😉
Head on over to Dessert Now Dinner Later for ‘zee recipe, friends!

Nora @ Savory Nothings says
I have to be honest here – I never had biscotti for breakfast so far, but that’s probably because I’m so loyal to my boring bowl of oatmeal 😉 These look so incredible – love the peanut butter glaze!!!
Sarah says
Haha! I am WAAY to loyal to my morning oatmeal too! I’ve gotta change that. 😉 Thanks Nora!
Shelby @ Go Eat and Repeat says
I love biscotti! I’ve never tried making my own but maybe I can use your recipe as my inspiration!
Sarah says
Yeees! Lemme know if you try this biscotti, Shelby!
Joanne says
Weelllll I think traditional biscotti is barely sweet and almost savory so it’s definitely a coffee breakfast dunker..these are more on the sweet side so I say they qualify for both breakfast AND dessert! this way you get the best of both worlds.
Sarah says
We are both in total agreement, Joanne! I love the way our minds work. 😀
Julie @ Julie's Eats & Treats says
I don’t discriminate on Biscotti so I’ll take it for breakfast and dessert especially when it looks this amazing!
Sarah says

This biscotti sounds amazing, Sarah! To be honest, I’ve never been a huge fan of them because of the lack of flavor. But anything that’s chocolate and with peanut butter has to be amazing! So perfect to go alongside my morning cup of coffee!
