Meet Sarah
Welcome to the eats! My name is Sarah and I’m so happy you’re here. I’m the blogger, recipe developer, photographer, and slight-coffee-addict behind the recipes on Whole and Heavenly Oven. I’m originally from southern Wisconsin but I’m currently living in Iowa with my husband and our two crazy cats.
I started Whole and Heavenly Oven back in 2012 when I was 15 years old. What started as a fun teenage hobby eventually grew into a career that stuck with me through culinary school and business school. Now I run Whole and Heavenly Oven full-time as well as a small food photography/recipe development business.
As a kid I would spend hours pouring over old cookbooks and magazines and begging my mom to let me experiment in the kitchen with new recipes. I’ve always loved the idea that food brings people together and I believe there’s no better way to express your love than sharing a home-cooked meal with your people.
Recipes you’ll find on my website are a little more nutritious, but always with a side of indulgence and twist of creative flavors. I love taking classics and putting my own twist on it such as taking butter chicken and making butter chicken meatballs or coming up with new creations like blueberry muffin granola bars (spoiler alert: freaking amazing) I test each and every recipe multiple times to ensure its success and most of them are simple enough for any skill level!
I truly hope you find some new favorite recipes on Whole and Heavenly Oven and thank you so much for being a part of the community! Let’s go cook some awesome food together.
