These chickpea fritters are perfectly crispy and pair incredibly well with a tangy fresh lemon dill sauce for dipping!

Ingredients

Lemon Dill Sauce

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh dill
  • 1 small clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Lemon Dill Sauce

  • In a small bowl, combine all sauce ingredients until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Chickpea Fritters

  • Place chickpeas in a large bowl and use a fork or potato masher to mash. Mix in flour, egg, dill, garlic, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper until evenly combined.
  • Form chickpea mixture into 5 fritters and place on a plate. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat vegetable oil. Once pan is hot, add fritters and cook 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Drain fritters on paper towels and serve immediately with lemon dill sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
