Dark chocolate mousse and a luscious red wine raspberry sauce are a match made in heaven in this stunner dessert. Perfect for a romantic dessert or whenever that chocolate craving hits!
In a double-boiler over medium-high heat, melt chocolate, stirring occasionally until smooth. Remove from heat and whisk in agave and vanilla. Allow to cool slightly.
In a large bowl with a handheld electric mixer, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
Very gently fold whipped egg whites and whipped cream into melted chocolate mixture until just combined. Press plastic wrap directly to surface and chill mousse two hours or until set.
Red Wine Raspberries
Combine red wine, raspberries, agave, and lemon juice in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 10-15 minutes until raspberries are broken down into a thick sauce. Remove from heat and cool.
Serve chocolate mousse in individual serving bowls with raspberry sauce on top and powdered sugar and chocolate shavings. Enjoy!
