Homemade Strawberry Sauce

This homemade strawberry sauce is the perfect way to use up extra summer strawberries and comes together in only 15 minutes with 3 ingredients! Try this sauce over pancakes, waffles, cheesecake, ice cream, and so much more.

Ingredients

  • 1 quart fresh or frozen strawberries, hulled and quartered (about 4 cups)
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring strawberry sauce to a simmer, then reduce heat to medium-low and allow to simmer, stirring occasionally until sauce is reduced and thickened, about 5-10 minutes.
  • Remove sauce from heat and allow to cool slightly before transferring to a jar and storing in refrigerator.

Storing Instructions
Store strawberry sauce in refrigerator up to 6 days. Sauce may also be frozen up to 2 months.
