Get your coffee fix AND fill your chocolate cravings in these creamy, icy-cold frappuccinos. Whip ’em up in less than 5 minutes and top with lots of whipped cream and extra brownie crumbs for a sweet afternoon pick-me-up!
Coffee is a wonderful thing. Especially when it’s covered in whipped cream and brownie crumbs.
I practically LIVE on frappucinos in the summer. It’s the only way I will take my coffee when it’s over 85 degrees. Sometimes I’ll buy them, and other times I’ll make them at home. I think a homemade frappe tastes just as amazing as one from Starbucks, and it definitely doesn’t cost as much either!
And all the things you can add to a homemade frappuccino—The possibilities are endless! Chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, peanut butter, and even brownies.
Which is my current favorite way to enjoy a homemade frappuccino. That’s liable to change at any time though, since I make frappuccinos so often. New favorites are bound to be created this summer.
#obsessedwithcoffeeandnotashamed. 😉
Actually, I come from a long line of coffee-holics. My mother AND my grandmother are both coffee addicts, and I’m pretty sure they passed some of that along to me.
No complaints here. 😉
Even if you don’t like coffee, I PROMISE you’ll love these frappuccinos. It’s basically just a brownie/coffee/milkshake dessert all in one cup.
You can’t really go wrong with a combo like that.
And they are SO MINDLESSLY EASY! All you do is blend frozen coffee cubes (just strong-brewed coffee frozen into ice cubes) with some milk, a little sweetener to taste, vanilla extract for flavor, anddddd (my favorite ingredient of all) crumbled up brownies.
Blend, blend, blend. Coffee’s ready!
Plan ahead when you’re making these frappes, because it does take a few hours to make your coffee cubes. Make them in the morning and then they’ll be all frozen and ready for a homemade frappuccino by the afternoon for that afternoon coffee pick-me-up we all need.
That’s not just me is it??
Whipped cream is necessary on top of these frappes—It’s not really a true frappuccino without a ton of whipped cream. I like sprinkling extra brownie crumbs on top of the whipped cream. Awesome-ness, people.
If you want even more of a chocolate-y kick, feel free to drizzle the whipped cream and brownie crumbs with chocolate syrup.
One sip is all it will take and I promise you’ll be hooked
Coffee time is FUN time. 😀
