White chocolate and pumpkin spice are a match made in coffee heaven with these simple hot mochas that call for a handful of ingredients and are ready for sipping in less than 10 minutes!
I come bearing all the coffee to fill all the caffeine needs of Monday.
With pumpkin ‘n’ spice, white chocolate, whipped cream and everything extra nice.
You down with all this? It promises to make for one winner of a Monday. Promise.
Okay, so here we go, guys: Pumpkin recipe #7.0 of the season thus far. I may or may not be the most accurate match yet for a full-blown pumpkin addict.
I’m also pleased to reveal that there’s more insanity where this came from. 😉 I still have MANY cans of pumpkin yet to open…♥
Okay, so these hot ‘n’ cozy mocha sippers. They’re totally a spin-off of two of my favorite coffee drinks to order at Starbucks: The white chocolate mocha, and the pumpkin spice latte.
BAM. Sarah the Coffee Lunatic smashed ’em both together…
…and eternal happiness thus ensued.
And Starbucks was more or less given the shove.
Truth: I’ve been drinking this mocha since pretty much the beginning of September and only now do I finally get around to sharing my priceless recipe with y’all.
I’m a coffee-hoarder. It’s true, just ask my mom. We usually attempt to split the coffee pot in the morning, and it ALL depends on who gets up first when it comes to who gets MORE coffee.
But when it comes to this mocha? All bets are off. Unless either one of us are in a VERY rare sharing-and-caring mood we’ll probably single hand-edly gulp all 3 cups that this mocha recipe makes.
And then make MORE obviously to share. 😉
I mean, it IS kinda crazy and even scary how fast this mocha whips up. I’m talking UNDER 10 minutes ’til hot ‘n’ cozy white chocolate pumpkin spice mocha-land.
…I can’t even. ♥
Honest, there’s only 3 steps to making this mocha (even a little trick of the trade thrown in there!)
#1. Make the milk/pumpkin/white chocolate base.
All we’re gonna do here is slowly melt the white chocolate and REAL pumpkin (no frou-frou artificial flavors here!) together and then whisk in our milk, agave nectar to taste, and pumpkin pie spice just to a very low simmer.
Throw this milk mixture in the blender along with a full tablespoon (yes!!) of vanilla extract and blend the mixture til foamy (don’t skip the blending step—it’s one of the secrets to what makes this mocha so amazing!)
#2. Grab ‘yer coffee!
#3 Smash the above 2 compounds together in one cup and heap whipped cream by the ton on top.
REAL beauty, guys. You can’t even deny it. ↑
Then sip. Or gulp, depending on what kind of a coffee-drinker you are.
I’m on Team Gulp, ALL the way.
So check out this master plan for today: Whaddaya say we blow off Monday and just drink White Chocolate Pumpkin Spice Mochas in our jammies with Netflix all day, m’kaaay?
I totally convinced you on that one, right? Go forth and GULP!
White Chocolate Pumpkin Spice Mocha
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons pumpkin puree
- 1/4 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1-1/2 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon agave nectar or more to taste
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1-1/2 cups strong-brewed hot coffee
- Whipped cream for serving
Instructions
- Place pumpkin and white chocolate in a medium saucepan. Over medium heat, melt until mixture is smooth. Slowly whisk in spice, milk, and agave until smooth and incorporated. Bring mixture to a very low simmer, then remove from heat and transfer to a blender. Add vanilla to blender then blend on high speed until milk is foamy.
- Divide coffee between 3 coffee cups. Pour foamy pumpkin/milk mixture over coffee. Top mochas with whipped cream and serve immediately while warm.
I’m gonna have to INSIST that you try these Caramel Pumpkin Spice Lattes next! Dooooo it.

Amy says
My oh my, this looks delicious!!! I definitely want to try it. My mornings are quite busy with trying to get 2/3 kids off to school, so I’m wondering if there’s any shortcut to this? Haha 🙂 Could I make anything the night before and finish the drink off in the morning or not such a good idea?
Sarah says
You could definitely make this the night before, Amy! Follow all the steps through heating the milk mixture together, cool it, and then put it in the fridge for the next morning. The next day, just heat everything back up, blend it in the blender until foamy, brew your coffee and combine the milk mixture and coffee in your cup and you’re good to go!
Marissa says
This sounds amazing! I am trying to find a good pumpkin spice coffee recipe for me and my sister on our fall themed sleepover night and I definitely want to try this! Could the agave nectar be replaced with raw organic honey? And would this be good over ice?
Sarah says
Hi Marissa! Yes, you can definitely replace the agave with honey and it would definitely be good iced!
