Soft, chewy and packed with tons of oats and raisins, these frosted oatmeal raisin breakfast bars are the ULTIMATE grab ‘n’ go breakfast! You won’t believe they’re on the lighter side.
Soooo…I may have just given you the most legit excuse EVER to eat frosting for breakfast.
I mean, you just can’t argue with a batch of oatmeal raisin breakfast bars on the breakfast agenda. FROSTING EXCLUSIVELY INCLUDED. And like the most important part but whatever.
And it totally works out with this whole breakfast thing, guys. The bars themselves are SUPER-duper on the healthy side, totally filling thanks to the oats, and frosting obviously ties the big pretty bow on this super-sweet breakfast deal.
Ahhhhh yessss. It’s always a good morning when you start it with a big ‘ol frosted breakfast bar. ♥
Honestly, I’ve been eating these oatmeal raisin breakfast bars for about a solid week, guys. They are just SO simple and fast to make a big batch for the week and then grab one for breakfast-to-go on the way to morning classes.
- Dough! It’s kinda like a sticky cookie dough and it’s made entirely in one bowl with super-easy ingredients: a tiny bit of butter, greek yogurt, an egg, flour, oats, sugar, etc. So, so easy. Press it all into one pan, bake for a few minutes and that’s it!
- Disregarding frosting of course. Which should actually not be disregarded because it’s a key team player in these dynamite breakfast bars. And you must slather it in every corner of these bar beauties.
So honestly, these oatmeal raisin breakfast bars kinda sorta taste like a big ‘ol soft and chewy frosted oatmeal raisin cookie. And trust me on this one: when your breakfast is tasting like a cookie, you KNOW you did something very right.
These = breakfast to eternity? I think so too.
