Hands down the BEST grilled tandoori chicken skewers you will ever throw on the grill this summer. The secret is in the SUPER flavorful long marinade and homemade tzatziki sauce.

I do, in fact, mean the freaking BEST, you guys. I don’t say the B word unless I really truly mean it and this tandoori chicken makes the cut and thensome.
I’m talking perfectly charred exterior, juicy texture with tons of spices, and a pretty dynamite fresh tzatziki sauce for all your dipping needs.
Of which you will have PLENTY, trust me.
These Tandoori Chicken Skewers Feature…

- Creamy fresh tzatziki sauce for dipping

Making the Tandoori Chicken
(scroll down to the bottom of the post for the full recipe)
Ingredients You Will Need
- Plain yogurt
- Garlic
- Ginger
- Spices
- Chicken thighs
- Cucumber
- Lemon juice
- Parsley
- Mint
Choosing Your Chicken
I recommend using boneless skinless chicken thighs for this recipe. This cut of chicken is fast to cook up on the grill and turns out super tender and juicy every time especially after being marinated.
If you don’t have thighs on hand, boneless skinless chicken breasts will work great instead, however, you may need to adjust the cook time slightly if they are thicker breasts. Always use a kitchen thermometer to test the internal temperature of meat.

Make Ahead Instructions
- Marinate chicken – make the marinade and allow chicken to marinate in refrigerator up to 12 hours.
- Make tzatziki – the tzatziki sauce stores well in refrigerator up to 4 days.
- Assembly – when ready to assemble, remove the chicken from marinade and grill according to recipe instructions. Serve skewers warm with tzatziki sauce.
Serving Suggestions
This tandoori chicken is great served alongside fresh salads, steamed rice, or roasted vegetables. You can also remove tandoori chicken from skewers and serve on a sandwich or in a wrap.

This tandoori chicken really does live up to it’s name, y’all! The flavorful marinade makes for the juiciest texture with tons of spiced flavors in every bite. A good dip in that fresh tzatziki sauce absolutely seals the deal.
If you’re not filling your grill with these skewers right this second what are you even doing with your life??

Made this tonight, but I had chicken leg quarters. I baked it at 350 for one hour instead of grilling. Tasted great! It’s a keeper!

Tandoori Chicken skewers are very popular in most of the non-vegetarian snack bars. They are tasty and ideal to go with drinks too. I was hoping to prepare these at home and now you have shared the recipe too. I hope it turns out as good as the images shared. I am going to try this recipe during the weekend.
