- Swirls of gooey cheddar cheese - A soft interior with lots of garlic butter brushed on the outside - An easy dough that comes together with simple ingredients
- Water - Active yeast - Honey - Egg - Unsalted butter
- Kosher salt - Bread flour - Cheddar cheese - Garlic - Italian seasoning
Dissolve yeast in water and let stand until foamy. Mix in honey, egg, melted butter, salt, and flour until a smooth dough forms. Knead dough until elastic and allow to rise 1 to 1-1/2 hours.
Punch risen dough down and turn onto a floured surface. Roll dough into a 9x15 rectangle and scatter cheddar cubes on top.
Tightly roll dough up and pinch edges to seal.
Use a sharp knife to cut dough in half vertically.
Twist the two dough halves together and tuck ends underneath.
Transfer dough to a greased loaf pan and allow to rise 30-45 minutes until puffy. Bake bread at 375F 30-35 minutes until bread is golden brown and registers 180F.
Melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and Italian seasoning and cook 1 minute until fragrant.
Brush garlic butter over warm cheese bread. Allow loaf to cool slightly on a wire cooling rack before slicing and serving warm. Enjoy!
