Try these easy layered red white and blue popsicles for 4th of July or any summer event and watch them be an instant hit!
Time to treat yourself with a little blast from the past! If you’ve got fond memories of bomb pops growing up, you’ve just found your newest love.
Popsicles are a necessity at any 4th of July gathering and these layered popsicles are obviously very on brand for the holiday. Not only that, but we’ve got THREE fantastic flavors all wrapped up into one treat.
While these popsicles aren’t a replacement for the classic 3-layer bomb pops by any means, they more than hold their own with fresh strawberries, vanilla yogurt, and blueberries coming into play.
Everyone knows that any type of layer action is an automatic win in dessert land and these popsicles take the grand prize just based off of pure looks.
Don’t even get me started on how fantastic the fruity layers of strawberry, blueberry, and creamy yogurt go together.
These Popsicles feature…
- Layers of fresh strawberry puree, blueberry puree, and vanilla Greek yogurt
- Minutes of prep time and only 5 ingredients needed
- Stores well in the freezer up to 2 months

Ingredients You Will Need
- Strawberries
- Lime juice
- Granulated sugar
- Greek yogurt
- Blueberries
Choosing Your Popsicle Molds
These popsicles will work with pretty much any type of popsicle mold. Depending on the size of your molds, you may end up with more or less popsicles than the recipe states.
If you don’t own popsicle molds, you can use Dixie cups and popsicle sticks instead and it will work perfectly fine.
Tips for Perfect Popsicles
- Use a food processor to make fruit puree – a blender will also work, but I find that the wider surface area of a food processor makes for a smoother puree.
- Freeze popsicles between layering – freeze the strawberry layer 1 hour, add the Greek yogurt layer and freeze another hour, then add the blueberry layer and freeze until solid. Doing this method of layering will prevent the layers from bleeding into each other.
Recipe Variations
Try these ideas for a different twist on these popsicles.
- Use different fruit – a variety of fruit would work great in these popsicles. Try pureed peaches, pineapple, mango, blackberries, or raspberries.
- Freeze a layer of ice cream – replace the Greek yogurt with vanilla ice cream for a more indulgent popsicle.
Storing Popsicles
These popsicles store well in the freezer up to 2 months. No need to thaw them, just pop them out of the molds and enjoy straight from the freezer!
I mean…what can ya say, they’re absolutely stunning and the layer game is on point! Each layer is bursting with fruity flavors and the creamy vanilla yogurt center just brings everything together.
Summer just got a whole lot sweeter!
