These icy-cold slushies are the perfect summer cool-down! They blend up in less than 5 minutes with only 3 ingredients and the watermelon-lime combination is out-of-this world!
Raise your hand if in the summertime nearly all of your meals contain watermelon in some form.
Okay, maybe it’s just me that’s obsessed like that….
Really though, isn’t watermelon just the best thing EVER?! My life would be just complete if I were able to get fresh melons all year-round.
For now I’ll just settle for these slushies in my life 24/7.
At the moment pretty much the only liquids I’m cravings is ANYTHING cold and preferably sweet. If you recently saw this iced tea or oh-my-goodness THIS lemonade, you probably guessed that by now….
I kinda want to be hooked up to an IV full of either of those drinks. Please? It would make my day.
It seems like almost everyone has some version of watermelon slushies, some simple, some a little more involved, but this is my version and you better believe I made it SUPER-simple for y’all.
Summertime isn’t slave-away-in-the-kitchen time. Unless you’re a food blogger and then that’s just a regular day at work.
For realz though guys, these slushies are so simple they practically don’t even need a recipe. You’re only going to need 3 ingredients: Watermelon (duh) lime juice, and ice cubes.
I told you we were goin’ simple here, guys—-It really couldn’t get any easier than this. 😉
Throw your cubed watermelon in ‘yo blender with some lime juice and ice cubes.
Give it a whirl, pour it in a glass, stick a little umbrella on top, and sip ‘er up!
That literally took what, 5 minutes? Yes. Make these slushies right now.
It may seem like an unlikely combination, but you would not BELIEVE how perfect the tangy fresh lime juice goes with the sweet watermelon.
New fav food combo right there. 🙂
These slushies are a perfect alternative to your usual sugar-filled summer drinks, since they’re completely naturally sweetened and super light on the calories.
They’re so icy-cold and refreshing, you may just have to pour yourself two glasses. Spike it up with your fav booze if this week has being hard on ‘ya. 😉
CHEERS!! 🙂

Oh Gosh I love everything with watermelon. I wish I could have a sip of this drink, Sarah! This looks so amazing… now I have to make one for me 😉
Sarah says
Haha! Make some for me too, Olivia! Then ‘er, TRY to send it. LOL 😉
Sherri@The Well Floured Kitchen says
I’ll admit it, I’m not a huge watermelon fan because it is too sweet. I like the idea of adding lime, I’m betting that would be the perfect contrast to the sweet to win me over. Either way, the rest of the family would love to be hooked up to that watermelon iv, so I’ll be sure to make this for them. Looks beautiful- pinned!
Sarah says
The lime juice really does balance out the sweetness in these drinks so I’ll bet you would love it, Sherri! Thanks for the pin, girl! 🙂
Annie @Maebells says
This is so perfect! What is more summery than a watermelon slushie?! Nothing!
Sarah says
Thanks, Annie! 🙂
Natalie @ Tastes Lovely says
You know what these drinks make me wanna sing, right? “I’ve been drinking…watermellon!” Beyonce was probably singing about these drinks. Haha!
This sound delicious! And only 3 ingredients? Love!
Sarah says
Hahaha! Oh my gosh Nat, that totally made me laugh out loud. Beyonce was TOTALLY talking about these slushies! 😀
Allison says
Sarah, I must say, that I love this kind of simple, refreshing summer recipe -especially because when I buy a watermelon, it’s so big and I don’t want to “chew” the whole thing hehe. Sweet, cold, and lime-y. Yum! Lime juice and summer should get married, they are so perfect for each other!
Sarah says
Totally, Allison! Watermelons are so so HUGE around here that I usually have a ton leftover after cutting into one. These slushies are THE best way to use it up. 😀
Sam @ Sugar Spun Run says
I am eating watermelon as I write this and now wishing I hadn’t eaten so much of it because I really want to make this! I love that it’s so easy! 🙂
Sarah says
You totally need to try these slushies, Sam! Next time you get a watermelon for sure! 😉
Danielle says
I used to love watermelon slushies back in the day, this one looks fantastic! Plus it’s only three ingredients, which is amazing! Great recipe 🙂
Sarah says
Thanks Danielle! These slushies are SO up your alley. 🙂
Christin@SpicySouthernKitchen says
I could eat watermelon all summer long! Beautiful pictures. I love the blue background. I keep wanting to paint some wood blue, but I’m so afraid I’ll choose the wrong color of paint so I keep putting it off.
Sarah says
Thanks, Christin! And oh painting backrounds can always be kinda nervewracking for me too. I usually test the colors out on paper to make sure I like them before actually putting them on the wood. 🙂
Connie @ Sprig and Flours says
This looks awesome! My roommate and I absolutely love watermelon. I’m sure he’ll go nuts for this.
Sarah says
Thanks, Connie! You’ll have to let me know what you and your roommate think of these slushies! 😉
Karen @ Lushious Eats says
My hands up! I eat a ton of watermelon in the Summer! I find myself constantly walking around the grocery store with a watermelon under my arm 😉 Love slushies too, and the fact that there’s hardly any ingredients is awesome! So refreshing!
Sarah says
Haha I’m right there with you with the “watermelon under the arm in the store thing” Karen! 😀
Joanne says
I’m picturing these as watermelon lime slushie margaritas. After work drinks tonight?! HAPPENING.
Sarah says
Oh, gosh next time I make these slushies I’m TOTALLY making ’em into margaritas/slusies. YE-UM! 🙂
Isadora @ she likes food says
I would like to be hooked up to a watermelon IV too!! That sounds amazing! There is just something so refreshing and awesome about watermelon in the summertime. It is so bright and beautiful and has such a strong sweet smell. I could eat it all the time! Love the combo of lime and watermelon in these slushies!

Kristi @ Inspiration Kitchen says
Sarah – not only are these pictures AMAZING!!! (I’m totally drooling over these photos), this drink sounds absolutely amazing for summertime! Today (and yesterday) it POURED rain!!! So hard, it was almost impossible to drive (and scary!), so it doesn’t feel much like summer the last two days – but either way – I’d take this drink ANY day!
Sarah says
Kristi, you are so so sweet! Thanks for the photography compliments girlfriend! And here’s to hoping you get some sunshiney summer days soon! 🙂
