Choosing Your Apples
This parfait is great with a variety of apples. I typically go for a sweeter, crisp apple that holds its shape during caramelizing such as gala, honeycrisp, braeburn, or jonathan.

Tips for Perfect Parfaits
- Caramelize apples over medium heat – it should take around 8-10 minutes over medium heat to properly caramelize the apples.
- Serve parfaits immediately – the parfaits are best if served while the apples are warm and the granola is crunchy.
Recipe Variations
Try these ideas for a different twist on these parfaits.
- Try another fruit – replace the apples with pears.
- Add dried fruit – toss dried cranberries, raisins, or blueberries into the apples after caramelizing.
- Add nuts – layer toasted pecans, walnuts, or almonds with the other ingredients.
- Top with caramel – drizzle parfaits with a little salted caramel for a little extra indulgence.

And there you have it, folks! The easiest and most fall-appropriate breakfast there ever was. The sweet caramelized apples taste exactly like an apple crisp filling and with all that creamy yogurt and crisp granola layered on top it’s totally reminiscent of the real thing.
Dessert for breakfast is my little hack for having a great day. Get ‘er done!
