A double-layer of mixed berry and mighty green comes together in this power-loaded smoothie that you can feel good about sipping!
Whoaaaa…get a load of that title. Quite the mouthful, eh?
No, it’s more like a sipful. A gulpful? Depends on how much of a smoothie guzzler you are I suppose…
Obviously I fall into the gulpful category. Smoothies + Sarah = ♥ ♥ ♥ x 10
Here’s the deal, peeps. I love smoothies. Like a whoooooole lot. Almost as much as I love this little lady and trust me, that is a HUGE-ISH AMOUNT.
Okay, we’re getting a little offtrack here…I seriously did not mean to spill the beans that I am secretly a smoothie crazy-lady.
Riiiiiight. I think I did that to myself by posting this only not even two weeks ago. And this and this within the past few months.
I’m just so sneaky that way. Sarah the Stealthy-Smoothie Ninja. That’s meeeee!
And I’m not even ashamed of my ninja-smoothie ways either. 😉
For today’s smoothie insanity we are taking a trip into the LAYERED land of smoothies. I just recently took my first vacay to this magical place and to be honest, I don’t think I’m ever gonna come back. It’s a whole new realm of smoothie bliss.
A freakin’ double-whammy of SMOOTHIE PERFECTION.
Okay, I’m going to try my best to calm down for the rest of this post, but no promises.—I just get too excited when smoothie hour hits.
And FYI, smoothie hour isn’t like happy hour which only happens at 5pm (lammmme!) It’s 24/7.—The way it’s supposed to be. 😉
Can I get a WOOT WOOT for how much plain sense that makes?
So as rambled above, you’ll recall that there are not one, but TWO luscious colorful layers to this smoothie. The lovely purple-ish and the shockingly-green.
The first layer is obviously berry-loaded. A double-delight of blueberries and raspberries for flavor and color, half of an avocado and banana just to keep things in smooooooooth and creaaaaaaamy town, a scoop of protein powder for energy, and a splash of milk. Peace out, berries!
Layer number two, is totally the most healthy-ish part of these smoothies, but it’s also flavor-city! We don’t do ho-hum green smoothies around here, guys. There’s spinach in there to make your skin glow, mango and kiwi for flavor, more avocado and banana for smoothness, protein powder for more energy, and lastly milk to bring it all together.
Layer it all in your prettiest glass and gaze for just a second in awe at your smoothie creation. Then grab that straw and go to town.
Smooth and creamy, healthy green and berry-loaded town. I’m living there now, FYI. 🙂
Can you feel the love that these mighty power smoothies hold? Just the color is making me hug-myself happy.
Post-gulping-down-of-the-whole-dang-glass makes me feel powered-up enough to climb Mount Everest.
Except, not really. I hate climbing mountains especially ones covered in 10 feet of snow and home to scary snow leopards. For reals, my worst nightmare.
I’m more than ready to tackle that leg-workout now though. LET’S DO ‘DIS.
The power of a innocent green smoothie. It’s pretty magical, guys. 😉
