A double whammy of chocolate and juicy strawberries come together in this indulgent chocolate strawberry banana bread. You can’t help but go back for another slice!

Chocolate-lovers, assemble! I’ve got pretty much your dream banana bread situation staring you in the face and yes, strawberries are also invited here.
I just couldn’t resist because these little berry gems are SO good right now and unsurprisingly, work like a dream against two kinds of chocolate + bananas.
Thus, this absolute queen of a loaf was born.

I’m talking fudgy and SUPER chocolatey texture, gooey melted chocolate, juicy bursts of strawberries, and a background of sweet banana flavor in every luscious bite is the situation we’ve got here today.
Hold me back from consuming the entire loaf, please.
This Banana Bread Features…
- A soft and moist texture
- Rich cocoa powder and semisweet chocolate chips
- Juicy summer strawberry chunks

Making the Bread
(scroll down to the bottom of the post for the full recipe)
Ingredients You Will Need
- Bananas
- Brown sugar
- Vegetable oil
- Eggs
- Greek yogurt
- Vanilla extract
- All-purpose flour
- Cocoa powder
- Baking soda
- Kosher salt
- Strawberries
- Semisweet chocolate chips
Choosing Your Strawberries
This recipe works well with both fresh or frozen strawberries (no need to thaw if using frozen). Chop strawberries into small 1/4-inch cubes so they evenly disperse throughout the batter.

Tips for Perfect Banana Bread
- Mash bananas well – use a potato masher or a fork to finely mash bananas until only a few very small chunks remain.
- Spoon and level flour – I use the spoon-and-level technique for measuring flour as this will prevent over-measuring your flour. Use a spoon to scoop flour into the measuring cup, then level with the back of a knife.
- Gently fold batter – overmixing will lead to a dry bread so use a gentle hand when folding batter.
- Top bread with additional chocolate and strawberries – this gives the bread a boost in appearance for serving.
- Use a toothpick to test bread – insert a toothpick in the center of bread. The bread is done when toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool bread completely before cutting – don’t be tempted to cut into the bread while it’s still warm. Allowing the bread to cool will strengthen its structure and make for neat slices.
Recipe Variations
Try these ideas for a different twist on this bread.
- Use another chocolate – try dark or milk chocolate in place of the semisweet.
- Try another fruit – try raspberries in place of the strawberries.
- Add nuts – try folding 1/2 cup toasted pecans or walnuts into the batter.
- Top bread with a glaze – try a simple powdered sugar or cream cheese glaze.
Storing and Freezing Bread
Allow bread to cool completely, then store in an airtight container at room temperature up to 4 days. For best results, I recommend reheating individual slices before serving so the chocolate is gooey.
To freeze bread, allow to cool completely, then wrap well and freeze up to 2 months. Thaw bread completely at room temperature and store up to 4 days.

This banana bread is seriously the most incredible thing you will ever sink your teeth into. Every luscious bite is loaded with juicy strawberries and gooey chocolate, and dare I even say that the texture mimics a brownie?
Go ahead, grab that second slice, you know you wanna.
