You won’t even need to run to the store to grab ingredients for these honey lime steak bites because they really are THAT simple to throw together at a moment’s notice. Just a cheap cut of steak, a few limes, a squeeze of honey, garlic, etc.
The marinade we’re gonna soak these steak bites in is absolutely a NECESSITY. It makes the beef incredibly tender and enhances the limey garlicky flavors. 1-2 hours of marinating and you’re good to go.
The sauce that covers these little gems is literally liquid gold. It’s tangy from the lime juice, it’s slightly sweet from the honey, and incredibly flavorful from the garlic. ANY extras of the sauce should just automatically be used as a steak dipper. You want as much of this sauce as possible.

Garlic Honey Lime Steak Bites

Ingredients
Marinade
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 lbs top round beef steak, cut into 2-in cubes
- Salt and pepper to taste
Beef
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Marinated Beef
Sauce
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch, mixed with 1 tablespoon water
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Marinade
- In a medium bowl, whisk lime juice, olive oil, honey, and garlic until smooth. Season beef cubes with salt and pepper, then add to marinade. Let sit in marinade at least 1 hour or overnight.
Beef
- Remove beef from marinade and heat butter and oil in a medium skillet over medium high heat. Add beef to skillet and sear cubes, turning occasionally until each side is golden brown.
Sauce
- Add minced garlic to beef mixture and saute 1 additional minute until fragrant. Remove from heat.
- In a small bowl, whisk lime juice, beef broth, honey, and cornstarch mixture until smooth. Pour into beef pan and return to medium heat, stirring occasionally until sauce is slightly thickened.
- Season steak bites with salt and pepper to taste and serve hot. Enjoy!
