- Cranberries
- Orange twists
Make Ahead Tips
You can easily prep the rosemary syrup ahead of time to make prep speedy for these cocktails later. The rosemary syrup stores well in refrigerator up to 1 week.

Tips for a Perfect Cosmo
- Make a simple syrup – a simple syrup is a 1:1 ratio of sugar and water. In this recipe we’re going to be using fresh rosemary to flavor the syrup. Simmer the syrup on the stovetop until sugar is dissolved.
- Steep syrup – once the sugar is dissolved, remove the pan from heat and allow the syrup to steep offheat for 20 minutes to infuse it with the fresh rosemary flavor.
- Shake cocktail – you can use a cocktail shaker or a mason jar with a lid for this part. Shaking the cosmo will quickly chill it and add a lovely layer of foam on top.
- Use garnishes – orange twists and rosemary sprigs will add a lovely aromatic scent to the cosmo while cranberries give it a festive pop of color.
Recipe Variations
Try these ideas for a different twist on this cocktail.
- Use another juice – try white grape juice or regular cranberry juice.
- Try a different herb – use fresh thyme sprigs or sage in place of the rosemary.
- Garnish with another fruit – try fresh raspberries, blueberries, or blackberries.
- Use regular simple syrup – skip the rosemary simple syrup to speed along prep for these cocktails.
Pitcher Instructions
You can easily double or triple this recipe to serve a crowd and mix it up in a pitcher instead of shaking it.
Combine all ingredients including the garnishes in a pitcher and mix in an additional 1/4 cup cold water per 4 servings to account for the melted ice from shaking. Serve cosmo poured over ice.

These cocktails really are like a pure piece of Christmas! The delicate cranberry flavor paired with the citrusy orange and that wonderful background of rosemary flavor are so refreshing together and just taste like the holidays.
Cheers, friends!
