Silky whipped goat cheese is topped with juicy honey roasted strawberries and incredible served with crostini for dipping.

I’m declaring this summer the summer of apps and you’d best believe things like this goat cheese are going to be a regular occurrence around here.
Or I may very well just make this goat cheese on repeat because hello, can you even with those lush strawberries??

Whipped goat cheese is an app that’s so easy you could pretty much make it in your sleep and honestly, we need more easy + showstopper apps around here. This goat cheese fits the bill especially with those glorious roasted strawberries on top.

Making the Whipped Goat Cheese
(scroll down to the bottom of the post for the full recipe)
Ingredients You Will Need
- Strawberries
- Honey
- Lemon
- Goat cheese
- Neufchatel
- Pistachios
- Basil

Tips for Perfect Whipped Goat Cheese
- Cut strawberries in uniform cubes – aim for uniform 1/2-inch cubes so the strawberries roast evenly.
- Roast strawberries with honey – 10-12 minutes at 375F will soften the strawberries and bring out all their juices.
- Whip the goat cheese in food processor or blender – 1-2 minutes on high and scraping down sides as necessary will break down the goat cheese into a smooth and silky whipped texture.
- Garnish dip with pistachios and basil – the nuts add a little crunch while the basil adds a pop of herby flavor.
Recipe Variations
Try these ideas for a different twist on this goat cheese.
- Use another fruit – try blackberries, peaches, or mango in place of the strawberries.
- Top with another nut – try toasted almonds, pecans, or walnuts in place of the pistachios. You can also skip the nuts entirely.
- Try another fresh herb – try fresh rosemary, parsley, or oregano in place of the basil.
Serving Suggestions
We love this goat cheese served with crostini or a sturdy cracker. I do recommend a sturdier dipper since it can be a bit juicy with the strawberries. It’s also incredible as a toast or bagel spread!

This really is my idea of the perfect summer appetizer. Roasting the strawberries in honey brings out all their wonderful juicy flavor and the sweetness pairs like a dream with the tangy goat cheese! And that little bit of pistachio + basil action on top absolutely seals the deal.
