This creamy piña colada smoothie will make you feel like you took a trip to the tropics! Packed with lots of fruit, coconut flavor, and a big protein boost as well.

A blender full of this tropical goodness starts the day off right, lemme tell ya! Just a big old dose of creamy, fruity goodness to pretend like we’re on vacation.
Not only do we have all the pina colada fixings + strawberries hanging out here today but also a good amount of protein as well! There’s really nothing this smoothie can’t cure.

I also have great news for all you anti-banana people! There is NO banana in this smoothie, just a whole lot of strawberry + pineapple goodness doing more than their share to give this smoothie it’s fantastic texture.
This Piña Colada Smoothie Features…
- Sweet strawberries and pineapple chunks
- Creamy coconut milk
- 21 grams of protein per serving

Making the Smoothie
(scroll down to the bottom of the post for the full recipe)
Ingredients You Will Need
- Strawberries
- Pineapple
- Protein powder
- Greek yogurt
- Coconut milk
- 2% or skim milk
- Honey

Tips for Perfect Smoothies
- Use frozen fruit – frozen fruit gives this smoothie a thick and cold texture which eliminates the need for ice.
- Sweeten smoothie to taste – I find that the fruit sweetens this smoothie naturally enough for me, but you can add honey to taste if desired.
- Use part coconut milk and part regular – I found that the smoothie was a bit too rich using all coconut milk so I prefer to use a combination of both coconut and cow’s milk.
- Blend smoothie in a good blender – a high-quality blender makes a BIG difference when it comes to blending smoothies. I highly recommend a Ninja, Vitamix, or Nutribullet.
Recipe Variations
Try these ideas for a different twist on this smoothie.
- Try a different fruit – try blueberries, bananas, raspberries, pineapple, or mango in place of the strawberries and pineapple. Feel free to combine several different fruits as well.
- Make it dairy-free – use oat milk or almond milk in place of the 2% milk.

One sip of this smoothie and I think you’ll agree there’s no better way to start the day! We’ve got all the classic pina colada flavors and the addition of sweet strawberries only make it even better.
Blend up these smoothies TODAY and pretend that you’re on the beach.

GENIUS combination!! It’s pretty crappy weather here too and berry season isn’t for ages. I keep trying strawberries, but they just taste like nothing at the moment. It sucks so bad. However, come May/June I am going to be going berry INSANE – and I simply must try this!!!

Yes to going berry-insane! Once you have those fresh berries, I swear all is right in the world! 😀
