You’ll be amazed how much these easy fudge pops taste like the real thing! Rich, creamy and decadent, these popsicles are always a huge hit!
I’m currently stuck in popsicle heaven. I have popsicles on the brain 24/7 and cannot stop dreaming up new amazing recipes. It IS summertime and to me, it’s not summer until I get around to making a batch of homemade popsicles.
These could quite possibly be the best popsicles I’ve ever had in my life.
No joke. YOU GUYS! Homemade fudge pops! Yes, I’m serious. And kind of in love.
There’s really nothing not to love about homemade fudge pops. The store-bought ones? So-so.
Break out the stretchy pants and lettuce is all I have to say.
It’s uncanny how much these fudge pops taste like the store-bought ones. In my opinion they taste even better AND you actually know what’s in them. That’s always a plus. 😉
And they’re SOO easy! All you do is make your chocolate pudding. Dump it in the popsicle molds. Pop them in the freezer…
A few hours later…..homemade fudge pops ready to be demolished.
Or just stick them in the back of the freezer so no one but you will know they’re there and you can sneak one every so often without the fam finding out. (like every hour. sound good?)
It’ll be our little secret.
And yeah, I’ve had to do this on occasion. Somewhat frequently.
So I know for certain that it works. 😀
Homemade fudge pops have been on my must-make list for practically forever. For a few reasons:
1. Have you ever even SEEN all the nasty ingredients in a store-bought fudge pop? I mean they taste amazing, but I just can’t get past that ingredient list.
2. I’m convinced that most everything is better homemade.
I felt like a total kid again eating these fudge pops. Yeah, popsicles are a little childish but I LOVE them anyway. Plus these ones were fudge-flavored which is my ultimate weakness.
Frozen fudge. Ahhh…YES, please and thank you.
Cold, creamy, and UBER-chocolate-y. these fudge pops are just what you need on a sweltering hot summer afternoon. Instant cool-down in the most delicious way. 😀
And I know for a fact that they make an epic mid-morning/2nd breakfast treat. We’re all cool with that right? Right.
Also it’s a plus that these fudge pops don’t have any weird ingredients in them. You probably have all of them on hand right now.
So you should kind of make these fudge pops. Like right now.
I think it’s safe to say that any kid is going to flip for these fudge pops. Most adults too for that matter.
Consider yourself warned. You’re gonna want to consume at least 5 of these fudge pops.
My entire family concurs. They were all begging for seconds. There was only one left (which just so happened to be MINE) and I was like c’mon guys can’t I even have one??
Their answer? No.
I rest my case. Fudge pops bring out the crazy side in people.
Don’t worry. I got my revenge and proceeded to smack the last fudge pop right in front of their greedy eyes. 😉
Although I’m pretty sure I’m going to be forced to make these fudge pops all summer long to make up for being so mean. Ha-ha.

Homemade Fudge Pops
- 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 2/3 cup xylitol or sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate chips, stirring constantly until melted. Remove from heat and whisk in xylitol (or sugar) cornstarch, cocoa, and whipping cream until smooth. Gradually whisk in milk a little at a time until mixture is smooth.
- Return to medium-high heat, whisking frequently until pudding is thickened. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and salt.
- Cool pudding slightly then fill into popsicle molds. Freeze fudge pops until completely solid, a few hours.

You must know that it is like 200 degrees where I live and I have popsicles on the brain all day everyday! I’ve been thinking about fudge pops recently and how I need to get my hands on some, so this post couldn’t have come at a better time! I think I’ll be enjoying these for breakfast, lunch, and dinner 🙂

Not the most healthiest treat in the world, but it sure does look tempting! I’ll have to try this out during one of my free moments :).
