Choosing Your Green Beans
To save on time I typically buy the pre-trimmed French cut green beans for this recipe. You can use regular green beans as well, but make sure you trim the ends before proceeding with recipe.
Tips for Perfect Green Beans
- Brown butter over medium heat – swirl butter in pan over medium heat until fragrantly nutty and a deep golden brown.
- Roast green beans in a single layer – use a large sheet pan so you can evenly spread out the green beans for even roasting.
- Top green beans with breadcrumbs after roasting – garnishing the green beans with the breadcrumbs post-roasting will keep them crispy.

Try these ideas for a different twist on this recipe.
- Add other veggies – try adding sliced mushrooms, sweet peppers, broccoli, or carrots.
