Juicy-sweet cherry tomatoes and 3 different kinds of herbs go deliciously together in this light, tasty summer salad. A quick buttermilk ranch dressing on top adds the perfect finishing touch!
I have another veggie (fruit?) to add to my list of garden overload. Cherry tomatoes.
My offer still stands for those who need a few extra veggies. I’m currently in use-everything-up-and-use-it-up-FAST mode.
My kitchen counters have become Sarah’s Farmers Market. And it’s open 24/7—NOT just the weekends.
You guys should totally come over and hang out. ‘Heck, not only will I give you free veggies, but I’ll feed ‘ya my summer favs too!
More than likely I will break out a salad. There’s a 99.9% chance. 🙂
Salads have been a main food group around here the past few weeks. ZERO complaints from this gal! You all should know by now that I’m a total salad-freak. 😉
As of lately I’m a cherry tomato-freak too. Somehow those sneaky little tomatoes find their way into most my daily meals. For breakfast, they sometimes end up in an omelette. I couldn’t even imagine my lunch without cherry tomatoes and cottage cheese. And oh, the things that they get thrown into at dinner time. 😀
I think my family is starting to get annoyed with my cherry tomato craze. Maybe it was those cherry tomato brownies that threw them off…
KIDDING. I would never go that far. Promise.
HOWEVER. This salad? Everyone went nuts-o over it, EXCEPT Rachel, who has sworn off tomatoes because they’re “yucky.”
But the funniest part is that she always mixes up tomatoes with potatoes.
Rachel: “Sarah, I don’t like that salad because it has POTATOES in it and potatoes are yucky.”
Me: “TOM-atoes, Rachel.”
Rachel: I know! Potatoes! They’re yucky!
Sigh. Whatever you say, Rach.
I don’t know how anyone could resist a salad as fresh and gorgeous as this. Cherry tomatoes are pretty much the best thing ever amiright? Toss ’em with some fresh herbs…..
Dress ’em with some Ranch….
And you’ve got your newest lover right in front of your face. Or IN your face in my case. 😀

Your lunchtime NEEDS this salad. You know it does. 😉

I would be happy to face plant into this salad anyday!! I’ll send you my address because I could really use some fresh cherry tomatoes, haha! I have a few on my plant, but they don’t look nearly as good as these ones. It is so hot here that I think mine are roasting while they are still on the plant! Seriously, this is so my kind of salad and I could go for a big bowl of it right now! As someone who is pretty obsessed with ranch, I’m also loving this dressing! Yum, yum, yum!! And beautiful photos too! 🙂

Thanks so much, Izzy! I will totally send you ALL of my tomatoes—it sounds like you NEED them in your life. 😀

This salad looks outrageous and perfect for all my tomatoes too! My garden is seriously exploding with cherry tomatoes! I actually blanched some and froze them in whole form for this winter sometime!
Sarah says
Thanks, Bri! and oh, gosh it sounds like BOTH of our gardens are going nutso with the cherry tomatoes—they’re so dang good though, you won’t find me complaining! 😉
